Biorevitalization

Biorevitalization is the revitalization of skin in a biological way to rejuvenate, hydrate dry, tired and sun-damaged skin with an immediate effect with results lasting up to 2-3 years.

It is an injection method that introduces small doses of Hyaluronic acid into the deep part of the skin. This improves cellular metabolism and deeply moisturizes the skin. These procedures reduce the speed of skin aging and improve the quality of the skin from the inside out through Biorevitalisation.

The amount of hyaluronic acid in young people skin is rather high as younger skin appears bright and youthful. However, eventually the amount of “youth elixir” starts to decline unstoppably and, thus, reduces the tones of skin, tightness, elasticity, skin stops looking lively, looks dehydrated and wrinkles are formed. In addition to natural biological ageing, the skin is also affected by photo-ageing, i.e., the withering and ageing of skin is additionally stimulated by the UV rays.

Biorevitalization Use
Scientists proved that injecting hyaluronic acid stimulates the synthesis of collagen and enabled moisturizing of the skin. Moreover, patient’s own production of hyaluronic acid was stimulated. Also, Derma fibres are formed, therefore creating a lifting effect of the skin’s tissues.

Biorevitalization can be performed in any area of body however, providing that it is safe and beneficial to the patient. Biorevitalization of the face can also be carried out at different depths of tissues, depending on the required treatment.
Typically, the procedures are performed in areas such as the face, neck, decolletage (lower neck line) or hands. These areas of the body are usually subjected to the most UV rays and therefore show a more rapid damage of skin through photo-ageing.

Biorevitalization can also be used in the treatment of hair weakness. By introducing intra-dermal injections to the area, this has a direct effect on the hair follicles and sebaceous glands, improving the trophic processes and normalizing the function of the sebaceous glands and the composition of their secretions. Patients can expect a result which offers stronger, shinier and silkier hair.

Biorevitalization Suitability

Patients who are ideal candidates for Biorevitalization include:

• Those suffering from decreased elasticity of skin
• Those with dry and dehydrated skin.
• Those with stressed and inadequate nutrition
• Those with fine lines
• Those who smoke and have a ‘tired’ appearance to their skin
• Those who wish to combine treatment with other forms of aesthetic procedures
• Those who have undertaken aggressive skin procedures such as peels
• Those who would like prophylaxis of acne scars and stretch marks
• Those who would like to hydrate and revitalize skin post-UV exposure

HOW DOES IT WORK?
During the procedure, the skin is injected with small doses of pure hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. Hyaluronic acid maintains moisture in skin. One molecule combines 200-500 molecules of water by maintaining the balance of moisture in tissues. It is therefore evident that hyaluronic acid’s function is to moisturize the skin, which creates a youthful appearance.

The procedure itself takes around 30-60 minutes to perform, depending on the area of treatment. The procedure is usually pain-free. Patients with hypersensitivity may be given topical anaesthetic cream to ease any discomfort. Patients can expect some minor redness or swelling following the procedure which usually last up to few hours.

Biorevitalization is usually carried out in 2-3 separate procedures, with a pause of around a month between each. The nature of the treatment allows for long-term results through a safe technique.

Following the treatment some patients may rarely experience some reactions such as bruising at the injection site, redness, formation of small nodules, minor redness or oedema.

Patients should not apply cosmetic products to the skin in places where biorevitalization has been performed for few hours and should not be exposed to UV and the use of saunas should be avoided for 2 weeks following treatment. Also, Alcohol consumption should be avoided for 2 days following the procedure.
